An Acro Jam is an open, informal space for people to practice acroyoga or partner acrobatics together. It’s not a class—there’s no structured instruction—just a community gathering to play, share, and learn from each other.
Absolutely! Everyone is welcome. You’ll likely find a mix of skill levels, and many communities are super supportive of helping beginners learn the basics. That said, it’s helpful to take a class or two beforehand to get familiar with foundational movements and safety.
Nope! Acro is all about connection, and jams are a great place to meet new people. Most people are happy to rotate and work with others, whether you're solo, in a duo, or a group. With that being said, some of the winter jams tend to be a little more training focused, and may have many existing partnerships or groups that are primarily there to train together.
The Acro West Saturday jam is always a great jam to go to without a partner, as is Trout Lake in the summer.
Safety is a shared responsibility. Communicate clearly, use spotters for new or risky moves, and only try skills you’re comfortable with. If you’re unsure, ask for help or sit back and observe.
